Look out Adelaide! Here she comesComedy on the Rox's Kathryn Bendall is off to Adelaide in March with her first one-woman show Kath On A Hot Tin Roof. Directed by leading improv comic Rebecca De Unamuno, Kath On A Hot Tin Roof is the hilarious, poignant and ironic story of a suburban mother of three. Over 58 long hot summers, Kathryn has leapt from one hot tin roof to another, delerious most of the time and hanging on as long as she can. A very late bloomer on the comedy circuit, Kathryn draws on her life experiences including her sponsorship by an “Underbelly” crime figure into local government; an executive management career in a national financial institution while secreting her fear of flying, crossing bridges, snakes, toads and driving; and managing volunteers at Sydney 2000 Olympics, APEC and World Youth Day.Kathryn will stage her preview show at the Roxbury on Saturday February 21 at 6pm.

Comedy on the Rox was co-parented by Adrian Saunders and Kathryn Bendall. They both had a background in marketing, sales and event management. Motivated by the opportunity to make untold riches in comedy (as well as a little stage time), they decided to start their own weekly comedy room. In 2008 Comedy on the Rox will be running for the third year - delighted that the 'Terrible Two's' are a thing of the past, and bringing a host of exciting new events to Sydney comedy, along with the 'old favourite: the $5000 Quest for the Best new comic competition.
